15.08.2015 Q&A

Here it is:

- There are no plans for WoT skill MM in random battles;
- Only like 100k people on RU server have winrate higher than 57 percents and like half of them are rerolls;
- New CW? "That mode is for various e-sportsmen who don't enter random battles anyway";
- Q: "So, it's not okay to make a special skill MM mode for 100k people but okay to make a game played by 50 times less" A: "You have to ask the team that made the game. I am not working on WoWp for more than a year now and I stopped liking it even before it was released. 1700 battles in beta and 7 after release do hint at something."
- German 128mm having 490 damage and Japanese 127mm 450 damage? "Damage does not completely depend on caliber";
- Developers confirm: there is some sort of "modifier" that makes premium vehicles actually turn slower than they should: "all things being equal, a tank with only one engine (premium) and tank with more engines (regular) will behave slightly differently. Therefore their numbers are different but they behave the same" (the background of this is that Cromwell B behaves just like regular Cromwell even though it has different hull traverse rate);
- The rumor that the FV201/A45 has some hidden parameter that makes MM put the same number of these tanks to both sides is just a rumor;
- Developers are planning to improve fighting illegal mods.

CZ Tree Part 2 - LT Vz.35

Hello everyone,

today, we are going to have a look at the tier 2 of the Czechoslovak branch, the LT Vz.35. This tank is well-known to most of you under the designation of Panzer 35t and it is actually in the game already. I won't dig into the history of this vehicle too much as it is well-described by many sources in many languages (wikipedia is not that good but generally sufficient). To sum it up: it's a 1935 pattern light tank designed by Škoda. It is inspired by the Vickers designs and it was actually a really solid light tank for its time, being superior to both Panzer I and Panzer II and somewhat better than the Polish 7TP (another Vickers clone). 298 were made for Czechoslovakia, 126 for Romania (R-2, these had slightly different turrets) and 10 for Bulgaria (these had different guns). By 1939-1940 however the tank was rather obsolete and was generally phased out quite fast.

Now, that's the basic history. So, was this the only Czechoslovak candidate for tier 2?

Not really. Czechoslovakia has shitloads of tier 2 light/medium tank candidates actually - but most were just prototypes and so it boils down to only two serious candidates. Praga LT Vz.34 and Škoda LT Vz.35.

Province returns to tier 10

Hello warriors,

in 9.10 test, thanks to the new tier map spread, tier 10 tanks can once again play on the infamous tiny "Province" map. This is most likely a bug though and will be fixed.

How I imagine the tier 10 players once the screen loads Province.

New Ranzar video

Hello Warriors,

seems like Ranzar is uploading earlier in the week nowadays, missing the fixed Fridays, anyways here it is:

Enjoy! :)

Czechoslovak Content in 9.10

Source: www.wot.cz

Hello warriors,

here's an overview of Czechoslovak content (emblems, inscriptions) in 9.10 as mined out from the test client.

Decal -Wargaming used a rather obscure decal used on several vehicles during WW2 (Czechoslovak-operated IS-2 tanks).Czechoslovak community is not very happy about it and promises to use mods to make the flag look more historically correct (the blue should be to the left, white should be up, red should be down)

Czechoslovak emblems - two: older version of the Czechoslovak state emblem and the emblem of the Czechoslovak units in the western front.
